No Dude thankfully it doesn't! Have you ever read the GB Guidelines? If not, I would strongly suggest you do so that you will have something of substance to complain about in the future. Otherwise, if you feel so strongly about this article on automobiles, turn it in as Not Newsworthy!

So they have been hearing the lie so often they now believe it. You can put all the lipstick you want to on a pig, but it is still a pig. The auto industry in the US is in for a long time of collapse.

Eventually, people have to buy new vehicles - or start walking. Old cars eventually do wear out. I'm not sure matching last falls dismal sales figures is really much of an accomplishment.

Car sales have risen after the Cash for Clunkers program ended. This is great news. I know we aren't seeing any great strides in the improvement of the economy, but we are seeing an improvement. Give it time people.

When new jobs with reasonable wages are created such that people can afford to buy affordable and reliable vehicles, then I will believe that some stability has been restored. Otherwise.....

Obamanomics, with its high unemployment due to a weak economy and its disincentives to hire, is playing its role. It might be a bit early for the Cash for Clunkers roller coaster to be over as well.
Hopefully Tuesday might cause the unholy Triumvirate of Obama, Pelosi and Reid to rethink their radical, economy destroying, agenda. But I doubt it. With any luck their proposals will continue to get mired down and remain unpassed and next year, a couple of days after the election Reid will be planning life after the Senate, the speculation on who the Speaker will be come January and Obama will be on his way to lame duck status.
Americans are beginning to figure out that last election day was the Great Mistake of 2008. And in America, we can fix mistakes like that.

Cars still wear out. And the new-fangled high-tech meanie-greenie cars will probably wear out sooner. And cost more to fix or replace.

"followed by GM at 4.7 percent, aided by strong pickup truck sales, the performance of new models and the highest incentives in the industry. It was GM's first year-over-year monthly sales increase in 21 months."
There, you GM naysayers. I think reports of GM's death is premature. They have some good products.

High price new cars and rising gas prices and no sign of recession recovery for main street will crush this speculation quickly.

I am waiting to buy an ELECTRIC CAR or PLUG IN HYBRID as soon as they come out, it will be FANTASTIC to be able to run off of my solar system - clean, cheap, healthy and DOMESTIC!!!!! I am tired of mafioso OPEC nations dictating HOW much we will be RIPPED OFF each month.... I would rather keep my $$$ local and support my local economy instead of sending it overseas!!!!

Paying $24,000 of taxpayers money for junk cars is not good in any way. The long term effect of the indebtedness will far out way any short term good (if any) that may have resulted. They could have given $24,000 to each of the burers and required them to buy $24,000 of any merchandise and could have stimulated a tremendous number of jobs.

I heard that the a cash for clunkers program ended up costing the US taxpayer $24,000 per car when you figure the average number of cars sold anyway and the displacement caused by the cash for clunkers bonus. How much of this help can we afford?
