There isn't a car manufacturer out there that hasn't reduced quality as a means to manage cost. That being said, Cadillac produces vehicles that challenge other manufacturers' vehicles domestic and abroad.

If it's based on the Volt, it's a loser.
Ford is doing well all around, but, all US makers use lesser quality parts and their finishing is not as good as European or Asian cars.

How many times around is this???? Answer...not likely as it was prestige only because BMW & Mercedes were almost unknown here back then.

Either I am loosing my mind or this is the fourth time I have seen this story here. My bet is on Cadillac following Pontiac and Oldsmobile. GMs quality control and leadership are both going down so fast they may never rise again without a major shake up.

I'm pictured here with my 2011 CTS-V Sport Wagon. It will perform as well or better than the legendary BMW M5 for $29,000 less. It carries a full 48 month bumper to bumper warranty and 60 month drive train warranty, no questions asked, even if you race it. It is also provided with full maintenance for 48 months. After 18 months an 22,000 miles, it has needed only oil changes, tire rotation, TPMS reprogramming, alignment and tail light replacement. No appointment needed, just drive it in, timely service provided, no charge. I've never owned a Cadillac before. Now I wonder if I'll ever own anything else.

Come now....... this is the third consecutive day for this article. Cadillac will regain its prestige about the same time that GM Corporation regains theirs, following the loan payback.
