This always seems to be the same story every year right before Memorial Day weekend. They can talk all that supply issue stuff if they want, its just plain ole capitalism, suppliers raising and lowering cost as they wish. The good old American way, money. Gas prices went up 11 cents in 10 days, so much for wanting to travel this coming weekend. I am staying home.

That's because prices are based on what the oil companies want to charge and get away with charging.

That's one of the problems it's always short lived, it's just wrong what they are doing, I had to take a cut in pay to keep my job, but everything else around me in continuing to go up, if your not rich already, they'll make sure you never have a chance to get there either.

There is no 'may be short lived' about it. Prices for the last four months have sky rocketed.

I can buy gas cheaper in Morton IL today than I did yesterday in St. Louis, MO. What is up with this? I was always under the impression that IL has the highest gas tax in the country.
