Love your avatar. IF that is the Blue Angels we were able to watch their final practice in Pensacola in April. They are awesome.

Hi slicerette, You mad a great comment about today's news item: "Ethanol in gasoline: What impact on cars, consumers?" In my opinion, E-10 reduces the production of poisonous carbon monoxide, but we should never use higher amounts of ethanol in our gasoline. Your buddy, Warren :-)

When did Martin's on South Bend Avenue begin to sell diesel fuel?

Excellent and well stated comments on the refinery explosion in Venezuela article.

BTW, there are three states which allow the open public posting or advertising of IFTA prices for diesel fuel (where the IFTA price is lower than for non-IFTA vehicles). They're Indiana, Michigan, and Oregon. Smiles! Doc.

This morning I had already done as you described this afternoon. That is, for the Pilot and Speedway stations on Brick and Cleveland roads, near the US-31 bypass, I posted the four-wheel prices in the fields with the large bold numerals, and I added the IFTA prices in the comment fields. It appears that shortly afterward you overwrote my post for the Pilot station, discarding the IFTA price and adding a request that we "please don't post tax-exempt prices". I had already done it your way. Have I misinterpreted or overlooked something? Doc.

I agree that it would not be good to post here only a truck price for diesel fuel. However, there are around South Bend some operators of trucks and buses who use the IFTA system, and who buy their fuel from local sources. Those people feel even more intensely interested in the prices of diesel fuel than do the other drivers who do not qualify for the IFTA prices -- because the trucks and buses run so many more miles and burn so much more fuel. The prices of diesel fuel are hugely important to those people -- even a penny at a time. My wife is one of those IFTA drivers; she's a lady trucker. It's good, useful, and appropriate to post the IFTA prices in small print below the four-wheel prices in large bold print. Truckers too watch this website. Cheers! Doc.
