This is what I've passed onto many GBs, "clicking on news articles links, which are the easiest points here on GasBuddy, when you can't or didn't post gas prices before midnight will save your consecutive days! : ) WARNING! Every day GBs lose their consecutive days, many with big numbers, the #1 reason, "oops, I just forgot!" :( If you ever lose your consecutive days; that is NO FAULT of your own, please contact the mods! Keep posting each day to save your consecutive days!" All it takes for a GB to keep from going to zero consecutive days is, post anything that earns points each day! That's all it takes! It currently takes 189 days to be ranked! All that means is, more GBs are posting each and every day! But for most, it is really easy to miss a day, but many with big numbers fall off several times a month! So that's how we move up, someone above us goes to zero! Hi, good comment on the news article about Self-driving cars today. I say: We don't need self-driving vehicles. We need to be pursuing increased use of abundant, super clean, American natural gas in the form of CNG as our primary alternative to all oil based fuels. Make North America energy independent and save our oil to make plastics, paint, pesticides, fertilizers and all other chemicals that can't be grown or mined. Want to become buddies??? Warren :-)

Posting regularly each day can help each of us see where the best gas deals are located, it's nice seeing GBs come back to post gas prices as often as they can and it's really a big help to the tens of thousands of GBs and others, especially those that travel! It takes a lot of dedication and persistence to climb the GasBuddy ladder to each level, but thousands of GBs do it each day! Many GasBuddies average more than 975 points each day as you have been doing, getting to their next level much sooner! But 90% or more of new GBs will not make it to their 1st red car (1M points), most of the 8,000,000 GBs quit before they even get close, but keep going, you can do it, you're getting closer each day!
