By-the-way, Bonne Annee/Godt Nytt Ar/Sretna Nova Godina/Feliz Anno Novo/Happy New Year!

Great post about the new smart parts and we could have been using them all along. It's not that difficult to get fuel economy up by 20 to 500%, but the more you want the more it'll cost and the longer it'll take, but 200% is possible with most of the vehicles on the road.

Great posts this morning granma!

Granma, I just wanted to stop by and wish you a belated Happy Thanksgiving and an early

Feliz Navidad (Spanish and others)
Joyeux Noel (French)
Sretan Bozic (Croatian)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I wish you and your loved ones well this holiday season, and anyone passing through here on your page for all their holidays and holydays as wells.

I agree finish the health care plan BUT do it right for the people not the special interests.

While you're at it, I hope that you and your children and others reading this will cut back on and reduce your energy needs where possible. you'll be glad you did when your utility bills go up by 30% or more and they will over the course of the next year or two. Ours will be up by 10% or more again next year. Those here in Florida who look for ways to reduce their energy useage by 20% or more will be glad they did it if they do.

In 2005 granma, i was telling people to look out for gas to reach $3, $3.50 and even $4 a gallon; and it did. This time again, I'll be right. Gas will reach $5 a gallon, then $6, then even $8 and more. Nothing will remain cheap any longer; hell, nothing it truly cheap nows, except a few things. I say buy them now if you can; I can't any longer.

No granma, this is NOT another scare tactic. You just wait another year or so when prices are higher; and they're even going higher now. The media lies, as it has, along with the government, as it has for the last 20 years and longer.

Where was I a year ago? Hell, I was out here on Gasbuddy, Gaspricwatch, and elsewhere here on the web writing about the same thing I saw happening as I have the last few years. I've been telling people about this stuff for years. Gas prices WILL be up again. Just wait for another two to three years max.

The government wasn't any good under Bush's father, under Clinton, under Bush and now it's even worse under Obama on some thing and apprently will get worse yet. Kind of like they lie and say we're in a recovery. A recovery without the jobs, and especially without the good jobs.

No, this is not a scare tactic. The Cap and Trade bill, the Kyoto agreement, and other bills and ammendments will help to push the price of oil and gas up past $150 a barrel and $5 a gallon too soon. The price for bread will be $4 or $5 dollars or more and eggs will be the same price for a dozen or more. You're not going to like the consequences on the pricing end, and none of what they're doing will eliminate global warming completely nor cut pollution out as much as anyone would like. There will have to be other measures and people like me and others will attempt to bring it about, but we'll not even make a significant enough dent in all of it with what's coming upon us.
