Everyone thinks it's some relief, but then they forget that it was even lower than this when it started it's run up.

gas should be under $3, and they would still make huge profits at that price.

Some idiot from GoldmanSachs said oil will be $149 by the end of the year. Today, oil is up $3.50. This is a joke. A bad one.

gas will never get back to $1.50. that would be great if it did but it won't. gas does need to come down to about $2.50. i did notice this morning that gas at costco was $2.79 in my area. i am shocked to see that especially being that gas everywhere else is between $3.48 and $3.60. so yes it is going in the right direction.

Oil on NYMEX is over $119 this morning. I'm thinkin a 10-20 cent increase in gasoline in the next couple days?

I hear and read people say gas is falling to slow. Do you realize the price of crude doubled in a year but gas did not? Crude is only part of the cost of fule about 70% so its not going to be a 1:1 price increase or decrease. Be happy we are in a downward trend.

It only take about a week for gas to go up $0.75 to $1.00. Look how long it's taking for it to come down from $4.00. It's been declining about a month now. And look what we're still paying...That's not fast enough...Drill here...Drill now!!!

"Gas prices have fallen more than 9% since hitting a high of $4.114 a gallon on July 16. The drop mirrors a 22% decline in crude price futures from their record high of $147.27 a barrel"
SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS MIRROR!

So crude drops 22% and gas only drops 9%?
Remember when at first the crude price would go up and gas would also go up and the story was that one must follow the other?
Remember when oil stabilized but gas continued to go up and the story was that prices hadn't increased in step with oil?
Remember when oil would dip down and gas would stay high and the story was that demand was so high that there wasn't enough supply?
Remember when demand dropped month over month and gasoline prices rose as refiners increased their profit margin because they wanted more of the wealth that big oil was building over this whole energy cost deal?
Remember when demand continued its sharp decline and the refiners started talking about how they would have to cut production because there is just not enough demand for gasoline?
It's all BS. Don't expect me to feel good because artificially inflated prices have dropped slightly.

I'm wondering, are gas stations still claiming that they're only making one penny per gallon profit, or that they're loosing money, or now they're making 50 cents or more per gallon trying to catch up ?

EagleEye16 is right, don't get lulled into thinking this small decrease is great because it is not great. We need to drill here, Drill Now and quit being so dependent on opec etc that want to destroy the US.
