On the highway don't go over the speed limit i have found out you get up to 3 to 4 more miles per gallon on my car.

That was the case 20-30 years ago. Today when on the highway (55 mph or better) it's acctually worse for mileage to have the windows open than to have the A/C running. The reason for this is because having the windows open creates drag that puts more of a load on your engine than having the A/C on.

Cars should make the best gas mileage at the rpm where torque is highest.

Remember no quick accelerations, pay attention and roll towards redlights etc

I found my Focus 2001 saves more gas when lower than 2400rpm which means 100kmh on highway.

change oil on time ,air filter,and air in tires will increase gas milage by 2 to 4 miles per. gal.

find the sweet spot and keep it there. accelerate slowly and coast whenever possible

If you could keep some lower rpm, you'd get even better mileage, provided you're on overdrive.

Usually driving and keeping your RPM's below 3000 is ideal. This helps mleage.

Are you able to run @ a lower RPM? After hitting 80/hr (50mph) I hold a steady 1200rpm in 5th gear. Gets me 1250km / 60iters (49MPG)
